The island of Vis is located about 60 kilometers away from the Dalmatian mainland coast and connected by regular ferry connections well with the mainland coast (Split). In the main season, the island is approached several times a day by car ferry. The population of the island is only about 4000 with a size of about 90 km ². The island is popular with tourists from all over the world and is known for beautiful beaches, picturesque bays - especially attractive for skippers and divers. Until 1995, tourists were denied to access the island, which has preserved the naturalness up to today. Real estate on the island of Vis are rather rare and have strongly location-dependent prices.
