Real Estate Zadar - Privlaka, Petrcane, Kozino, Diklo, Bibinje, Sukosan

Real Estate in the region of Zadar, northern Dalmatia - Zadar is a bustling and youthful center on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. With a population of about 75,000, Zadar is located directly at the seaside in the northwestern part of the Ravni Kotari region. It is the oldest continuously inhabited Croatian city. Zadar, the ancient capital and today’s urban center of Dalmatia, welcomes you with its vibrant café life and bustling bar scenes in the narrow streets and numerous piazzas. It offers impressive modern architectural projects along the seafront as well as remains of ancient and medieval buildings in the city center, such as a pillar of a colonnade or the surviving section of the city wall. Here you can also find one of Croatia’s most frequented markets, selling everything from fruits and vegetables delivered daily from the regional countryside to freshly caught fish of all sorts. Increasingly popular with tourists, Zadar’s streets buzz with life from June to September. For the rest of the year, this marvelous pearl of a city is left to the locals or international residents who are fortunate enough to own a villa or flat.

Nothing can provide more attraction and charm to a city than its history, and this is best shown with Zadar. Its history dates back to its ninth-century BC founding as a settlement. Later held by the Venetians, it was an Italian-speaking city for several centuries with a university established in 1396, said to be the oldest in Croatia. After being ceded to Italy in 1921 and bombed several times during World War II, it became part of Tito’s Yugoslavia. In the 1990s, it was exposed to Serbian artillery attacks until 1995. Since 2000, the city has flourished enormously, becoming a success story of the Croatian Adriatic Sea. Not only the charming city itself and its history but also its subtropical and Mediterranean climate attract more and more people wanting to escape cold winters and wet summers in their home countries. The average sea temperature ranges from 10°C (50°F) in February to 25°C (77°F) in July, allowing you to swim from May until October or even November. Zadar is easily accessible by plane and car. Zadar Airport is only 12 km southeast of the city; rental cars or taxis will get you to your destination.

Not only is the city center of Zadar popular with clients for real estate, but also the surrounding places like Sukosan, Diklo, Kozino, Petrcane, Privlaka, Nin, Vir, Razanac, Vinjerac, and Posedarje, each featuring special benefits.
