Biograd na Moru is famous not only for its beautiful beaches and bays, which attract thousands of vacationers each summer but also for its two large marinas, which are starting points for boat trips and sailing tours to the Kornati archipelago. This makes the town particularly attractive for boat and yacht owners. The gently sloping pebble beach Drazice and the sandy beach Soline are popular among active vacationers due to their various activity programs and are also favored by families with children, thanks to the diverse entertainment programs that ensure a fun beach experience for the little ones.

The stunning panorama with the island of Pasman in the foreground, dense, shady pine forests, and impressive palm trees along the promenades add to the unique appeal of this town. In the evening, you can relax at the waterfront on the edge of the old town and enjoy local dishes such as freshly caught fish, grilled lamb and pork, Dalmatian ham, and hearty sheep cheese in the many restaurants and konobas.

Biograd na Moru also has a rich historical heritage. The impressive churches, like the Church of St. Anastasia built in 1761 with its baroque altars in the picturesque old town, testify to the town's significant past. In 1102, Coloman was crowned king here, contributing to the unity of Croatia and Hungary. In 1125, Biograd was attacked by the Venetians, who felt threatened by the growing power of the Croatian rulers, resulting in significant destruction. It was not until 1409 that the Venetian rulers fully conquered Biograd. The Venetian-Turkish wars also left behind great devastation. During the Croatian War of Independence between 1991 and 1995, many buildings in the town were damaged by Serbian artillery shelling.

The surrounding area of Biograd na Moru offers numerous excursion destinations. The Kornati archipelago with its eponymous national park is only a few nautical miles away. The island of Pasman is considered a hidden gem, popular with Croatian vacationers during the summer holidays, but turning into a paradise for those seeking the traditional, original Croatia after the end of August. Here, you can find the tranquility and calmness exuded by the few local residents. Expansive fragrant rosemary bushes, sweet figs, ripe red pomegranates, sun-glittering olive trees in the gardens, and a small market in the tiny village of Tkon, where a fisherman sells freshly caught fish, complete the picture of this idyllic island.
